Doll’s Family Cafe takes pride in its down-home menu, where every dish tells a story of heritage and heart. Their Fried Chicken is a standout—crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, delivering that satisfying crunch followed by juicy tenderness that immediately transports you to your grandmother’s kitchen. The Hot Water Cornbread, a classic Southern staple, accompanies dishes beautifully with its light, fluffy texture and slightly sweet bite. For hearty appetites, the Meatloaf and Baked Chicken with Dressing provide comfort on a plate, paired masterfully with traditional sides like creamy Macaroni and Cheese, earthy Turnip Greens, and collard greens that carry just the right amount of smoky flavor.
Seafood lovers will appreciate the Whiting, Tilapia, Catfish, and unique Salmon Patties, each served fresh, seasoned with soulful spices, and fried or grilled to perfection. Not to be missed are the savory Smothered Pork Chops with Cabbage and the soulful Pot Roast, slow-cooked and tender, melting in your mouth. End your meal with a slice of Peach Cobbler or a Raspberry Chess Square, where the sweetness melds beautifully with the rich, buttery crust—a perfect finishing touch that’s every bit as comforting as the main courses.
Beyond the menu, the atmosphere at Doll’s Family Cafe is inviting and genuine. Diners frequently praise the friendly service, making every visit feel personal and heartfelt. Juanita Danielle shared, “It’s like being able to eat your Grandmother’s Thanksgiving food any day of the year!” while others echoed how the food rekindled nostalgic memories of home-cooked meals. The team here clearly understands how to serve up not just dishes, but soulful experiences that linger long after the last bite.

The food here is excellent! I can’t believe this is my first time eating here and I’m from Nashville. I will definitely return over and over. It’s like being able to eat your Grandmother’s Thanksgiving food any day of the year! This place is definitely a hidden gem.
The food was amazing, the staff was friendly and I can't wait to go back.
Very friendly service. got the baked chicken and stuffing.Macaroni and cheese turnip greens and the extra corn bread. They made it just like my grandma used to. So good.
I'm visiting from out of state and this place is delicious! I got the ribs, greens, and Mac. The staff was helpful as well. Delish delish. A must try!
I relocated to Nashville so this was my first time here. The chicken and dressing was decent, a little too much sage. The baked chicken was great, really tender and the greens were the best… I had to go home and add yams and blk eyed peas. But overall, I will try them again.
Consistently delicious southern soul food! Each order comes with your choice of meat, two vegetables, and fried cornbread. I especially love the meatloaf, green beans, and cabbage. The servings are generously sized and easily last me for two meals. For dessert they have very large squares of moist cake. The lemon cake is my favorite.
I needed a place to eat while I was passing through Nashville and I very much enjoyed the fried chicken, mac&cheese, and baked beans. The peach cobbler was cold, but probably would have tasted better if it was still warm. There were plenty of options to choose from and everything had good flavor and seasoning. I would eat there again.
The service was exceptional. The food was tasty and they gave large servings. I recommend trying the fried catfish, it was good and fresh. The smothered pork chops had a bit much breading that I personally am not used to. But if you like it homemade and smothered they got you! They had delicious sides dishes and the hot water Cornbread was to die for! Absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back to try something different like the oxtails or ribs and get some more bread and try the cobbler.
